Understanding computers

I've been following these thing almost 36 years now! and there comes a realization that most folks you come across fall into two main categories, those who either get computers or those who don't.

Take my ex wife, who once said that no one told her that moving the mouse makes the arrow on the screen move up and down. She was being serious. Luckily for me my current wife is one of those 'naturals' she just gets it .
It's interesting, when you get to work and look around at the people in the office and the various aptitudes that are present when it comes to using computers. Especially noteworthy is the extent to which some will go to disguise their aparent lack of abilities.
Things have certainly changed in the last two decades, when computers screens consisted of green text an menu driven programs, which some of us miss I might add because of their speed.

The thing about computers is that you learn something new every day and I love learning. My father-in-law started using the computer five years ago. He is 89 years of age. There are lots of questions of course, but his son is always here to answer them and it makes for many great conversations. Thanks for stopping over at my blog. I have enjoyed my visit here very much.
